The most overrated football team this year is Tennessee. I hate to admit it, but they had all the pieces of a BCS bowl-bound team. Well, I always knew they were suspect on offense especially with their QB situation, but they had a 5-year senior in Rick Clausen and a sophomore who showed promise last season as a true freshman in Erik Ainge. They had a great defense and a team littered with seniors. Every publication thought they would be contenders for the national championship, but they choked and squandered every opportunity. They have had suspect coaching decisions by continually swapping QBs, seemingly when one of them was starting to have a good game and gain confidence. They went from a preseason #3 ranking to losing to Vanderbilt at home in Neyland Stadium and consequently not making a bowl game. They are regrettably the most overrated football team this season.

I like whoever left that statement about Duke basketball. I’d really hate it if you lost to the University of Memphis Friday night…. Then you might need to put a new article in here about your team being overrated. Go Vols!
