I owned the iPhone since December and I am getting rid of it today. Not only is it an overrated device, the phone freezes constantly and I have gone through 4 phones in 7 months. It’s all one big scam.. The battery is bound to die once your warranty runs out and will be forced to buy a new iPhone. It is terrible and one of the worst phones for functioning correctly.

This IPhone overhype is really making my blood boil!!!
There is absolutely nothing revolutionary on the iphone!! My old windows ce based JasJam that i write software for at work, has all the capabilities of itphone (touch screen, video & media player) yet is has 3.5G (HSPDA) connection to the net, while the iphone has only a primitive 2.5g connection.
And yet there is all these f*cktards camping out just to be the first to get one. How do you combat this stupidity? I bet in 10 years time they will be claiming the iphone was the first multipurpose phone out… Just like they credit the ipod with being the first MP3 player….

Couldn’t agree more. The iphone is extremely overrated. It just bugs me that millions of people out there have no clue regarding technology and what is currently available on the market. These people will see the iphone and the Apple logo and say “this is so cool, everyone will think I’m cool if I buy this.” The only problem is the iphone does nothing to push the tech envelope to warrant cool status. I guess the herd mentality will always prevail. I just hate explaining to someone why they shouldn’t get one (for $600), only to have them turn around and say “I don’t care, its cool.” Dumb people make me cry.

1. John = biased.
2. I = biased.
3. John must have forgot how to paste a link so people can click on a URL.
4. I guarantee people who get an iPhone will have the unlimited Internet and unlimited text message plan. I mean AIM on my Razr on T-Mobile uses text messages. This isn’t some crazy money making scam.
5. I wouldn’t mind having a Windows Mobile phone.
